Bijou is an Appraisal service created by a jeweler's daughter with a Graduate Gemologist degree from GIA. I have a passion for jewelry and the people that own these heirlooms. I am a third generation jeweler as my grandfather was a rockhound and silversmith. My father started his jewelry business in 1972 and I was born into the business just less than a decade later. Spending countless hours as a small child running around a shop full of jewelers to managing the front of the house for nearly 11 years as a young professional. Spending over 6  additional years as a customer service specialist, inventory specialist and jewelry appraiser for another high end jewelry store here in Colorado. The journey inspired me to start pursuing my Graduate Gemologist Degree in July of 2018 at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA.) Furthering my education and career in the Jewelry industry and becoming the first Graduate Gemologist in my family.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Minor in History from the University of Oklahoma in December 2013. In August of 2014 I started calling Colorado home. Bijou Appraisals was designed and created to provide a complete comprehensive appraisal service that is thorough, modern and easy to access. 

Appraising jewelry combines education with experience and a love for helping people. As an appraiser, I find the combination of these things the fuel that continues to fire my passion for this industry. Getting to work with some of the most well versed and talented people in the industry continues to show me how multifaceted the world of jewelry is. Most importantly getting to be a little part of something that means so much.
